¡Hüllenlos!

"From The Cradle To The Grave" is Cornelia Lochmann's first large-scale installation, in which she connects painted images, a moving sculpture, and a digital sound creation, while actively challenging the viewer.

"Get loud" is the artist's imperative, as in silence, the space remains shrouded in darkness. The visitors must clap, stomp, and scream to reveal the images. The louder the audience becomes, the brighter the blacklight projectors shine, and the images are charged with light. In the dark, hidden messages begin to appear.

The number three is the smallest multitude and represents an unlimited range of dynamics, in contrast to the pair and the unity.

Blood, Sweat, Tears is displayed in three round portraits, which, once charged with light, become readable in neon lettering.

In the center of the room stands an organic-looking fountain titled "Life", and centrally hanging from the ceiling is a large painting titled From The Cradle To The Grave. This painting was the trigger for a persistent conflict between the artist and the chairman of the board of Schloss Kastelbell. During a solo exhibition of the artist in the spring, the painting was supposed to make its premiere at the castle. However, the chairman objected, forcing the artist to conceal the piece.

Now, at last, the three-by-two-meter painting, which is based on a drawing by artist Paul Avril and features naked figures in explicit poses, can finally shed its coverings!

Cornelia Lochmann's Gesamtkunstwerk will be on display from November 26 to 30 in the new spaces of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund, where it can be experienced and documented in its intended entirety for the first time.
