In the year 2018, too, the program of the Gallery Prisma will conclude with its traditional architectural exhibition. For this year, it was possible to persuade the architectural team of bergmeisterwolf to undertake a solo exhibition.

bergmeisterwolf is an architectural and design office located in Brixen / Bressanone and Rosenheim. For 13 years, it has conducted exciting dialogs with builders and thus developed answers to contextual and spatial questions. It also has teaching activities.

The founders and team leaders Michaela Wolf and Gerd Bergmeister have decided upon a special concept for the exhibition. As the logical consequence of its content-based orientation, they've opted for a change of scene. During the exhibition, the young team of architects will move with their office into the gallery, where they will work – and allow visitors to "look over their shoulders." This is intended to signalize mobility in modern architecture, for which flexible thought processes are a prerequisite. The office of bergmeisterwolf works with tradition, the present, and the future to understand, reveal, and research the identity of a place. Beginning with in-depth imaging of the site, the architectural duo develops projects in the areas of residential living, tourism, public works, and building inventory. Whenever a new building is built or an existing one reconstructed, there's a change of scene: Industrial buildings are converted into wine cellars, churches into residential dwellings, farmhouses into hotels. Places are constantly evolving, their original functions are repurposed, while buildings and rooms acquire new roles. Living places have to be constantly rethought and re-imagined. In this context, the goal of bergmeisterwolf is not to replace existing structures or to substitute new buildings for old – rather, they want to build lasting, innovative bridges to the future.

The exhibition architecture presents a "room-in-room" concept in which – on the basis of models and photos – the team's completed projects can be viewed.

The exhibition will be opened at 7:00 p.m. on December 7, 2018 in the Galllery Prisma in Bozen / Bolzano and will be open to the public until January 11, 2019.
