The Red Boat. Artists Against Violence Towards Women

The bright red boat in front of the backdrop of Lake Prags serves as a memorial against violence towards women. 18 artists make a powerful statement with their art interventions, calling for shared social, societal, and political responsibility to support and protect women.
The young artist Indra Moroder will be awarded the "Red Boat – Against Violence Towards Women" prize.
Opening remarks by Alexander Zoeggeler, President of the Südtiroler Künstlerbund.
Introduction to the art project by curator Lisa Trockner, juror Eva Gratl, and Bruno Heiss from the Verein Erlebnis Pragser Wildsee.
Contributions by Ulrike Oberhammer (President of the Provincial Council for Equal Opportunities) and Franziska Gasser (representative of the statewide women’s shelter services).
Presentation of the 18-piece art postcard set (numbered edition of 1,500 copies).
Musical accompaniment by Veronika Tutzer, harpist.
Following the event, buffet by the Sarner Bäuerinnen.

A social art project by the Südtiroler Künstlerbund and the association Erlebnis Pragser Wildsee in collaboration with the Provincial Council for Equal Opportunities.
The idyllic postcard of the beautiful natural landscape of Lake Braies is enriched by a red boat floating on the lake. This red object serves as a memorial against violence towards women. 18 artists express their solidarity through interventions around this powerful symbol, calling for social, community, and political responsibility to support and protect women.
The proceeds from the limited edition set of art postcards (18 pieces, edition of 1500) will be fully donated to a victim of violence.
