WIR SIND KÜNSTLER - WE ARE ARTISTS
In this extraordinary collective exhibition youngest talents show their skills.
Two years ago, the project "child and art - experience, form, create" was launched by the South Tyrolean Artists' Association in cooperation with the Kindergarten Selig Heinrich, where children between the ages of 4 and 6 in groups of 10-12 participants regularly participate to the exhibitions in the gallery Prisma and deal with art, experience art, design and create.
Every autumn, the project starts with a conversation with the children about "Art - what is a gallery?", combined with a first visit to the Gallery Prisma to get to know each other.
For each exhibition, the teachers Claudia Theiner and Sabine Bordonetti obtain information in advance and develop with the SKB employee Franziska Perpmer an individual tailor-made concept in the sense of art mediation. All 45 children in the kindergarten will be informed about this, 10-12 girls and boys will be allowed to register for the respective interest group, which will remain for the period of the respective exhibition.
Sometimes preparatory work is already done in the kindergarten, children collected, searched for, often with the involvement of the parents. This is followed by a visit to the exhibition and an exploration of it with Franziska or the artist itself. Looking and discussing, transforming the gallery into an artist’s studio where the group works with all what art gives, the colors or techniques, according to the inspiration of the exhibiting artists. Mostly in the kindergarten follows other artistical working with the newly acquired skills.
Finally, there will be a reflection with the interest group, there will be a documentation of the project, the works of the children will stay in the Gallery Prisma for a few days, it will be reported on Facebook and on the homepage of the SKB.
At the end of the kindergarten year, the entire project will be presented and evaluated.
The results of this cooperation will be presented on 9 May 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at the Prisma Gallery in Bozen/Bolzano and will be open to the public until 10 May 2019.
